Tolerances for Reliable Performance
Our SciMax® products are manufactured to strict tolerances in compliance with ASTM A269, A270, and A632 to ensure consistent quality and optimal fit. Outer diameters, wall thickness (before and after electropolishing), and critical dimensions such as tangent length, squareness, and angle deviations are tightly controlled. End-to-end and center-to-end dimensions are held to a tolerance of ±0.050 inch (1.27 mm). This precision ensures maximum reliability in high-purity applications.
SCiMax® Tubes
Precision Stainless Steel for Ultra-Pure Applications
SCiMax® stainless steel tubes are manufactured to ASTM A269, A270, and A632 standards, ensuring tight dimensional tolerances and excellent material consistency. Available in 316/316L stainless steel and made to SMTI specifications, they feature ≤0.003% sulfur content for superior cleanability and corrosion resistance.
Standard lengths: 20 ft (6.1 m) – custom lengths on request. Working pressures (based on 20,000 psi allowable stress) follow ASME B31.1/B31.3 guidelines and cover a range from ¼" to 6" tubing, making SCiMax ideal for high-purity semiconductor systems.
